Siding Repair and Replacement in Silver Grove

When a storm cracks your vinyl or tears panels off a wall, we help you sort out what needs fixing first. We check the siding and the wrap behind it, show you photos and explain your repair or replacement options in plain terms.

Siding That Keeps Water and Wind Out of Your Walls

Siding is the outer layer that sheds rain off your walls. Behind it sits house wrap and wood sheathing, and those layers are what rot when water gets past a cracked or loose panel. A small split you can barely see from the driveway can let rain soak the wall for months before you notice a stain inside.

We repair and replace vinyl, fiber cement and aluminum siding. After a storm, the first goal is simple: close up any openings so your home stays dry, then decide calmly whether a few panels or a full wall makes sense.

Cold winters make vinyl stiff and brittle, so hail and flying branches crack it more easily than they would in warmer months. We look for those hairline breaks on every wall, not just the side you called about.

What Our Siding Work Includes

A full walk around your home
We check every wall, not only the damaged one. Hail and wind rarely hit just one side, and you deserve to know the whole picture before you decide anything.
A look behind the panels
Where damage is worst, we pull a panel or two to see the house wrap and sheathing. Soft or stained wood changes the plan, and we would rather find it now than after new siding goes up.
Panel repair and matching
For smaller damage we replace individual panels and match the profile and color as closely as we can. If your siding is discontinued or sun-faded, we show you samples and talk through options before ordering.
Full wall or whole-house replacement
When damage is widespread or the old siding is worn out, we strip it, repair the sheathing, install new wrap and flashing, and hang new siding with proper expansion gaps so it does not buckle in summer heat.
Trim, corners and window flashing
J-channel, corner posts and the flashing around windows and doors are where leaks often start. We replace or reseal them as part of the job.
Cleanup every day
Old panels, nails and scraps are hauled off. We run a magnet over the lawn and driveway before we leave.

Signs Your Siding Needs Attention

  • Cracks or holes after hail

Round dents, chips or split panels after a hailstorm mean water can get behind the wall. Even small holes are worth a look.

  • Panels loose or missing after wind

Vinyl panels lock together along their edges. Strong gusts can unlock them, leaving gaps or blowing whole pieces into the yard.

  • Warping or bulging

Panels that wave or bulge were often nailed too tight or got too hot. Bulges can also mean the wall behind is swelling from moisture.

  • Stains or peeling paint inside

Water marks near windows or soft drywall on an outside wall can point to siding or flashing that is letting rain in.

  • Mold, mildew or soft spots

Green streaks that keep coming back, or a wall that feels spongy when you press it, usually mean moisture is trapped where it should not be.

What Affects the Cost of Siding Work

Siding prices come down to how much wall needs work and what turns up underneath it. Once we have walked your home, we put the scope and the price on paper, line by line, before a single panel comes off. If hidden damage appears after the old siding is removed, we pause and show you before doing anything extra.

How much area is damaged

A few replaced panels cost far less than a full wall or the whole house. We measure each wall so the estimate matches the real square footage.

Siding material

Vinyl, fiber cement and aluminum each have different material and labor costs. Fiber cement is heavier and takes more time to cut and hang.

Matching older siding

If your profile or color is no longer made, matching may mean replacing a whole wall so the side looks even.

Condition of the wall behind

Rotted sheathing or missing house wrap adds repair work that has to happen before new siding goes on.

Height and access

Two-story walls, steep yards and tight spaces between homes need more ladder or scaffold setup.

How a Siding Job Goes

  1. 1

    Free inspection and photos

We walk your home, photograph each problem area and explain what we see. If the storm also hit the roof, we can look at that on the same visit.

  2. 2

    A clear written estimate

You get a line-by-line estimate showing which panels, trim and wall repairs are included. If you are filing an insurance claim, we explain how the process usually works and share our photos, though the adjuster makes the coverage call.

  3. 3

    Quick protection if needed

If panels are missing and rain is coming, we can cover the exposed wall so your home stays dry while you decide on the full repair.

  4. 4

    Install day

We protect plants and walkways, remove damaged siding, fix any wet sheathing and install new wrap, flashing and panels. Most repair jobs finish in a day; full replacement takes longer depending on the size of your home.

  5. 5

    Final walk-through

We walk the finished walls with you, point out what we repaired behind the panels and leave the yard clean.

Siding Questions We Hear Often

Can you replace just a few damaged panels?

Often, yes. Vinyl panels can usually be unlocked and swapped individually. The bigger question is color match, since older siding fades in the sun, so we bring samples and let you see the difference before deciding.

Will my insurance cover storm damage to siding?

Many policies cover sudden hail or wind damage, but every policy is different. We document the damage with photos and explain what we found so you have clear information for your adjuster. The coverage decision is theirs, and we will not pressure you either way.

Should I fix my roof and siding at the same time?

If the same storm hit both, it often makes sense to look at them together. We can check the roof during your siding inspection, and you can read more on our Storm Damage Repair and Roof Inspections pages.

Do I need to be home during the work?

Not usually, since the work is all outside. We do ask you to be around for the inspection and the final walk-through so we can show you what we found and what we did.

Why does my vinyl siding keep cracking in winter?

Vinyl gets stiff in freezing weather, so a hit that would only dent it in summer can crack it in January. Panels nailed too tight also crack because they cannot move as the temperature changes. We hang new panels loosely in the nail slots so they can expand and contract.
